Organization

Our school is organised into two classes per year group, from Year 3 to Year 6, making a total of eight classes.

We have eight teachers and twelve teaching assistants.

Our teaching assistants are very experienced and well trained.

In September 2009 there will be 8 class groups in single age classes:
2 x Year 3 classes
2 x Year 4 classes
2 x Year 5 classes
2 x Year 6 classes
Each year group works closely together, with the teachers in the year planning together what is taught.

Classes are of mixed ability.

Intervention groups for additional Booster or Springboard lessons are also run to assist those children who are just below the expected level of attainment.
These are short extra programmes of work in literacy and maths to support those children who, we feel, would benefit from additional teaching.
These programmes have been proven to make a difference to children participating in them.
We will inform you if your son or daughter will be taking part in these.
